August Card Class

In this workshop we will be stamping 5 all occasion cards
with envelopes.

This card is using another "turn about" style stamp.
These are so fun for switching up inks to get different looks!

We will be trying out stamps from some new stamp companies to the shop.

Inside reads "Its your Birthday".

This one above we will try out adding a second color to the background stamp.
(2 colors of blues)
The celebrate card is a 6x6 and is made out of all shimmer cardstock.
It has a elegant feel for a wedding or a birthday.

Supplies Needed:
Adhesive runner, foam pop dots, scor tape, Tombow green glue, a small flat glue dot.
We will be doing some Copic marker shading so please bring an E33 and T1.

B21, B60, E33, E25, G14, G03, R81, Y17, Y35, Y38, YG06, YR04, YR14, T3, T6

The class fee is $17.00 but if you pre-pay to hold your spot the class is only $15.00

Christmas Card Class 2016

In this year's Christmas card making class
we will be stamping 6 cards with envelopes.

I always love Christmas cards that have shiny metallic silver and metallic gold.
It's the one time of year you can get away with so much shiny metal.

We will also be doing heat embossing on both of those metallic cards!

We will be making a front stair step card that is 6x6.

Hard to see in the photo but we will be making the tree snow glistened
with glitter.

The cabin card is on shimmer paper.
Its hard to see in the photo so I tried to get up close .
Trust me, the shimmer paper is so pretty in person.

There will be a watercolor poinsettia
because people never get tired of this technique!

The last card is a pretty angel that is also done
with the shimmer paper with white on silver.

Again, the shimmer is so much prettier in person.

The inside reads a simple "Noel" for an elegant greeting.

Cost:
The workshop is $20.00 but if you prepay to hold your spot
the cost is only $18.00

Supplies:
You will need an adhesive runner, foam dots or tape, scor tape (skinny works
best on one of the cards), scissors, glue pen, tombow green cap glue.

Card Buffet (2016)

I am going to try a different style of card class that I haven't done in about 12 years...
It's called a Card Buffet.

It's called a buffet because you can pick and choose the cards you would like to make
and the amount of the cards you would like to make.

You can make 1 of each,
or make multiples of one and none of another... your choice!

The cards are simple enough to do on your own
without a lot of instruction, so you can move from station to station
at your own speed.
Many of the pieces will be die cut for you already.

There will be a fall watercolor card for Thanksgiving.

The snail card is using Copic markers. If you have not tried them yet, this card
would be a perfect start.

Everyone tells me they struggle coming up with cards for men.
This one could be for anyone but would work great as a guy card.

The panda and crab cards are fun critter cards using some embossing and
die cutting.  The crab card says "Sandy toes and salty kisses" so you could
use it for many occasions.

The flowers on the Celebrate card use an old technique you may
know but I think is a clever way to get the ombre effect for the flower colors.

I will have other colors besides pink so you can make different cards.

Cost:
The cost for the class will depend on how many cards you make.
1 card is $3.00 but if you make multiples of a certain card the
price goes down to $2.50 each.

Supplies:
adhesive runner, foam pop dots, scor-tape (both sizes if you have it), scissors,
small flat glue dots, glue pen, quickstik (if you own one), Tombow green glue.
I sell the supplies you will need.
If you dont have something, just let me know I will save it for you.

Please RSVP to hold your seat
Saturday, Nov. 5th @ noon or 1 pm.  (full)
(come as early as noon but no later than 1 pm.)

Wednesday, Nov. 9th @ 1 or 2pm. (5 spots left)

(come as early as 4 pm but not later than 5:30 pm.

September card class (2016)

In September we will continue with a few more pop up cards.
The Autumn card is a 5x5 accordion style card.
We will be using a brand new Lawn Fawn set of stamps and dies.

The card is 5x5 in size but opens up accordion style.
We will also be doing a bit of Copic coloring too.

Last month we did a pop up beach card,
this time we will be a little country.

This card opens up for a pop up fence and lays flat
to be displayed.

We used the flower layering stencil a few classes ago and
it was a huge hit.
We will be making a baby boy and girl card the same way.
These stencils are so fun!

Supplies Needed:
Adhesive runner, foam pop dots, glue pen, scor tape (regular size), and
scor tape (1/8 inch skinny size).
If you own a Quickstik you may want to bring it.

Cost:
Class fee is $17.00, if you pre-pay to hold your spot it is $15.00

August Card Class 2016

Join us for our August card making class.
We will be stamping and die cutting 5 cards with envelopes.
There will be a shaker card, a pop up, a slider, and a watercolor card.

The fairy card is a pretty little birthday shaker.
The birthday card below could be for either a guy or a girl,
the candle flames are glittered (hard to see in the photo).

Now if you missed the watercolor note card class in June
we will be using this technique again.
If you did come to that class, then this one will be
one more for your collection.

I really love this card, its so unique to a standard card.
This is a beach pop up card.

The chair actually pops out when you open the card.

The butterfly card is a slider...
slightly different technique from the
wedding card we did in July's class.

This is how it looks when you slide it open.
The background behind the flowers is glitter paper
(again, hard to tell in the photo.)

July card class (2016)

I am posting 2 classes in 2 days so I can be a little bit ahead of myself.
Summers are crazy busy so now I am caught up with classes
for the next 6 weeks!

Some of these summer inspired cards are interactive.

This flamingo card uses the new My Favorite Things die that creates "flip cards".
The above photo is what it it looks like closed, below is how it
folds up into an easel card.
Love these flamingos!

This wedding card lays flat in the envelope...

Then slides open into a pop-up card!
We will be using the wedding charms for this one, but I also have other
charm sets you can coordinate with the slide base die.

Queen & Co. has come out with a new style of shaker cards.
I carry several different shapes, but this one works great for summer.
Use it for a July 4th card, graduation, or summer birthday.

The bumble bee card does not have decorative paper in the
background.
We will be stenciling the flowers!

The inside reads: "Have a bee-utiful day!"
We will also be using the new scalloped dies that
coordinate with the rectangles we have been
using in the last couple classes.

On the sunset card we will be making our own watercolor background.
Love how this turned out!

Supplies:
Adhesive runner, scor tape, foam pop dots, scissors, glue pen.
*optional items if you have them: Quickstik, Copic R81 and R85.

The class is $17.00 but if you pre-pay to hold your spot it is only $15.00

June Watercolor Note Card Class (2016)

In this class we will be stamping 6 note cards with envelopes.

We will be doing a simple watercolor technique that will
give you an elegant look.

All 6 cards will be similar in style but just different colors/flowers
so you will have a uniform set  of notes.

You will also have a plastic card case to display them in.

These cases work great if you want to give your cards as a gift.
Just tie a ribbon around the plastic case and done!
Makes a great gift for a friend, co worker, teacher, etc...

Cost:
This class will be $20 for the 6 cards, envelopes, and case.
If you prepay to hold your spot the class fee is only $18.00

Supplies:
Adhesive runner
Thats the least amount of supplies ever!
Scor tape (if you wish).

Class Dates:
I will be keeping the class sizes to 4 per class for this technique.
