Cards for mom

Its time to start thinking about cards for Mother's Day soon.

On the card above I used the My Favorite Things die called "Paper Doll Border" to cut out the doll chain and the matching stamp set for the words.  I wanted something a little different than just saying Happy Mother's Day on a card.

If you came to the last card class then you made the Easter card above.  I used the exact layout and papers but changed the SRM clear stickers to make it a Mother's Day card instead.

March Card Class

March will be here soon, and hopefully so will the signs of spring!  I think my March card class feels a little spring-y...

In this class we will be stamping 5 cards with envelopes.  We will be using quite a bit of Copic marker blending and some other techniques.  The card above uses flocking on the teddy bear and her blanket. (A bit hard to see in the photo.)

We will be making a card for Easter too.  This one isnt stamped, it uses the SRM clear stickers.

The card above is a bit dark, I'm really bad at photographing navy cards... they always look black.  Both the cards above and below have sections popped up for dimension, the balloon and the butterfly net are raised.

Class supplies needed:
adhesive, pop dots, small paper triming scissors.

Class Dates:
Tuesday, March 13th @ 1 pm. (full)
Monday, March 19th @ 1 pm. (full)
Wednesday, March 21st @ 6 pm. (full)
Thursday, March 22nd @ 6 pm. (full)
Tuesday, March 27th @ 1 pm. (full)
Thursday, March 29th @ 6 pm. (1 spot left)
Saturday, March 31st @ 11 am. (full)

Cost: $15.00, a pre paid reservation will hold your spot.

Halloween Treats

After Tyler saw this Snoopy card he really wanted to give one to his 1st grade teacher. Besides Snoopy being on it, I think he liked the Flower Soft (autumn) on the leaf pile.

I also wanted to have him give her a little treat with the card for Halloween. I just got in a bunch of the SRM tubes and clear stickers. These stickers are see-through so you can decorate the tubes and still see what is inside.
I filled one of the shorter tubes with carmel kisses and added a little orange twine.

Just a note: I have some of the orange twine in bulk for .25 cents a yard!

The tubes come in 3 sizes...
The short are .75 cents
The regular size is .99 cents
The longer wand style is also .99 cents

These tubes make great little gifts for birthday favors, teacher gifts, or something small for co-workers.

Baby Elephants

These elephant punches sold out very quick by just having the card samples in the store, but they are back in stock now!

I made these sweet baby cards with a couple Cuttlebug folders, the elephant punch, and some of the SRM clear stickers... super easy and quick!

All you need to do is assemble.

Its hard to tell from the top photo but I took a piercer (for making holes for brads) and pierced around the scallops.
Supplies are limited!

Just in... Tubes!

In the Valentine class starting this week, one of our projects will be decorating one of SRM's new tubes. These clear tubes are great for gift-giving and are so versatile! I found a few samples of different things you can do with them...

I will have plenty of these clear tubes in stock this week. They are 7"x1" in size and sell for .99 cents. The ideas of things you can fill them with is endless!

Valentine Class

New products are starting to arrive for Valentine's Day so I couldnt wait to use them for a class.

In this workshop we will be making 3 cards and a tube for sweet treats.

You can fill these tubes with candy... I think M&M's and Hershey Kisses work best. (Candy is not included in the class.)

We will be using new products from Sizzix, SRM Stickers, and stamps and Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.
We will be coloring 2 of the cards with Copic markers, and embossing and die cutting with the Cuttlebug.

Supplies you will need to bring:
Paper snip scissors, adhesive, and pop dots.
Cost:
$12.00, class fee will need to be pre-paid to hold your seat in class.

Christmas Card Samples

If you missed out on this years Christmas card making class, here are a few of the samples that weren't posted to the blog yet.

These little snowmen come in packs of 6 for making multiples of the same card.

We used the "core" paper on the trees so they could be sanded for a snowy effect.

The Cuttlebug and SRM clear stickers always make cards soooo easy!

This one used lavender and olive for non-traditional Christmas colors.

The navy and brown winter trees were very popular. This stamp could be used for other occasions besides Christmas.

Snoopy's Leaf Piles

This is one of my favorite stamps lately, I've been trying to find some time to make a card with it for a while now. I combined some new items that I thought would look good together.
The saying is from the SRM clear sticker sets for fall.
I used the brand new eyelet circle set of Nestabilities.
The inside verse says "Thanksgiving Blessings".
The card stock is Bazzill Kraft paper (another new item).

My favorite detail is adding some "autumn" Flower Soft to make the leaf pile more realistic!

Falling leaves

Fall cards are my favorite because I love all the browns and oranges. The paper I used is from the Basic Grey "Max & Whiskers" pet collection. I used the maple leaf from Cuttlebug, but the bad news is that I have very few of them left in stock! They were discontinued a while ago and don't think I can find anymore of them. I did order in some Spellbinders Nestabilities leaves which should be a close look a-like.
The word Thankful is from my favorite clear SRM stickers. They have a set of greetings just for fall!

Pumpkin Spice is back!

The Cuttlebug pumpkin is one of my all time favorite cutting/embossing folders. They were discontinued last year but I was able to locate a few more of them!

SRM Stickers has a new "fall" set of their clear sentiment stickers that would go perfectly with the autumn Cuttlebug folders.

Thanksgiving stamps are starting to arrive too. More Halloween and Fall papers, stickers, and stamps are on their way. I used a folder from the "Cindy Loo" Cuttlebug set for the background on this one.

Brand New SRM Clear Stickers!

The new SRM clear stickers have arrived! I made this card for the upcoming school year and also added a Cuttlebug border.

The new stickers have black, brown, and white lettering so you can use them with dark colored cardstock too.

Many new "quick card" stickers! These are great for whipping up a card with very little time involved. Stop by and see what's new!

New Cuttlebug sets

There are quite a few brand-new Cuttlebug sets that have just arrived!
Almost all of the sets coordinate with a matching Cricut cartridge too. I used a clear SRM sticker for the greeting... brand new SRM stickers are on their way too!

Cuttlebug Butterfly

Many of you have seen the 12 inch Cuttlebug borders and thought they were for 12" pages only. You can use them for cards just as easily! This one is called "butterfly" and its a newer folder from Cuttlebug.

I used my Scor-Pal to make the score marks above the butterfly, works great for nice straight lines. Added some pink pearls, pink sheer ribbon, and topped it off with my favorite SRM clear stickers!

Simple Note Card Set

I used the SRM clear stickers to make up these really simple thank you notes.

With a little ribbon and some flowers you can whip up quite a few in one sitting! The sticker sheets have enough to make 18-20 cards.

These flowers come with a sparkly gem already placed for a center. Very easy to match with the ribbon and some black and white paper.

Bosco

I love this little "Bosco the Bumblebee" stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs. He is part of the newest bunch of wood stamps to arrive. He is holding a flower but I added a Prima flower for a little dimension.

I like to add a bit of Stickles glitter glue to the wings of bugs and bees, it just adds a little sparkle! The punch is a new one from EK Success and the clear sticker is from SRM's card making set.

Graduation time

Its that time of year where we need to get busy on the graduation scrapbooks and cards. I have a lot of the different local school papers and die cuts in stock but can also do custom requests too.
