Puppy Dog Tails

This is another dry embossed card using the brass templates.
After I embossed the puppy, I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the circle and scalloped Nestabilities. I sponged a little ink on his nose and attached a few matching flowers... super easy!

If you missed out on the Valentine explosion box class, you wont want to miss this one! This box is the same size and shape as the other one, but just with a different theme.

New Flower Soft

Now add even more detail! Flower Soft has come out with Ultra Fine, which means it will give realistic dimension on much smaller images. Unlike flock or glitter, Ultra Fine has no static and can be poured directly from the jar onto your project.

Some of the new colors are Strawberry, Koala Grey, Citrus Crush, Sage, Toffee, Sand, and Raspberry Fizz.

Also some cute new Hedgehog card fronts. Just apply Flower Soft to add realistic fur, texture, and dimension!

Dog-on cute Valentines!

I made up some small note cards for the treat bags I am making up for my neice and nephews in Texas. I thought this cute little puppy would be perfect to attach to the bags with ribbon.

What's nice about this stamp and some of the others from Rubber Soul, is that the words are on the side of the block. That way you dont have to always use the words with that image. It's like getting 2 stamps for the price of 1!

Dew Drops

Lots of new Dew Drops are in... Summer, Easter, Chocolate Cherry, Gum Drops, and more!

Dry Embossed Card Class

In this class we will be using the dry embossing technique. This is similar to the effect you get by using the Cuttlebug but done by hand.

We will be making 4 cards with envelopes and will be stamped with different greetings.

This is a beginners level class so don't worry if you haven't done this technique before. My only warning is that if you are bothered by Arthritis or other hand problems this class may not be comfortable for you.

The inside of this card is stamped with "a little birdie told me it was your birthday!"

Class supplies needed are adhesive and pop dots.
Cost: $10 , class fee must be prepaid to hold your reservation.
Class Dates:
Wednesday, Feb. 10th @ 1 pm. (FULL)

Chocolate Explosion Box class

In this workshop we will be making a Valentine Explosion Box. When you remove the lid the box opens up to reveal layers of pockets.

Normally inside the pages and pockets you would put photos, but this one is meant to hold candy and the pockets contain tags with fun little Valentine coupons. Of course, there is room to put some small photos on if you choose.

Almost everything will be precut, scored, and ready to assemble. The supplies you will need to bring are: adhesive, paper cutting scissors, and a small paper trimmer. There is one sheet of paper you will need to cut some strips from.

Here is a close up of a few of the tags. There will be 8 total tags to the project.
Class Dates:
Wednesday, Feb. 3rd @ 6 pm. (FULL)
Saturday, Feb. 6th @ 11 am. (FULL)
Sunday, Feb. 7th @ 1 pm. (FULL)
Class Fee is $20 and must be paid in advance to hold your spot. Nothing personal, but too many people sign up and dont show. Supplies for this class are very limited!
There are lots of new Valentine papers in too.

Valentine favors

Need just a little something for a Valentine gift? These clear party favors from Bo Bunny are great for that. Easy to make and inexpensive... only .49 cents each. I filled it with M&M's and cut some Valentine paper to fit inside. At the top you can tie some ribbon (if you come to my classes then you now I LOVE ribbon.)
The tag is made from The JustRite stamp set called Celebration Phrases. All I did was add the "Love, Tyler" to personalize it.
Bo Bunny makes these in a heart shape too but they are on backorder. I have some of the round right now and should be getting more in soon.

Bananas for You

Just another Valentine card using one of the new Rubber Soul stamps. The background paper is from the Monkey Business line from Reminisce.

New JustRite Stamps

More new JustRite monogram stamp sets are in. These sets have new fonts in them too!
There is a special occasion set (more formal and pretty) and a curlz font (more whimsical).

Also in is the Deluxe Square monogram kit. This is something different from the rest because the block is square and includes 3 sizes of letters. You can check out the JustRite website for some beautiful samples: www.JustRiteStampers.com

Valentine Album

It seems like Valentines Day is still far enough away but it will be here before we know it! I ordered in these cool little chipboard books (actually about 9x5) with the matching paper from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Whats cool about the matching paper pad is that the paper is pre-punched and is perfectly sized to fit the chipboard pages that have a decorative edge to them. The book even contains 3 metal rings to hold it together.

The paper tablet also contains a sticker sheet and some extra paper to add to the book for accents. I just added in some self-adhesive gems to sparkle it up a bit. This book was SO EASY to assemble, it took no time at all! I just need a few more pictures to be completely finished.

I have 12x12 sheets of red and pink glitter paper just in too! I used the Cricut to cut out my own letters.
Stop by the shop to see all the new Valentine papers and accessories.

Memory Box stamps

I posted to the FaceBook site earlier this week that there were new stamps in from Memory Box. The card above was made from a really pretty stamp called "Cattail Birds". I colored the image with markers and cut/embossed the scalloped square with Nestabilities.

I just love the natural look to these stamps! Usually I prefer the cutesy looking stamps, but these are just gorgeous. Hopefully I will be getting around to make more samples.

Here is a better view of more of them.

Select Cuttlebug and Sizzix Christmas folders are on sale for 30% off! These wont last long and may be retired before next year's Christmas comes around again.

Buddies

I havent worked on my pages in a while and I wanted to test out my new mini printer so I made up this 12x12 page.
The details are hard to see in the picture but I used Bo Bunny paper, ribbon, Thickers for the title, corner rounder, eyelets in the corners (need to get rid of the 1000's I have in my stash), and my favorite Tim Holtz mini stapler.

More stamps on SALE!

Since a lot of new stamps are coming in I really needed to refill the sale basket.

There are still a few Christmas stamp but also Halloween, Birthday, and other occasions. Now the basket is 30% off! Get some good stamps before they are gone!!

Rubber Soul Valentines

Some super cute Valentine stamps arrived from Rubber Soul. Some of the stamps even have a matching saying on the side of the block!
In the card above the typewriter stamp had i <3 u on the side so you could use it or leave it off if you didnt want it. Its hard to see in the photo but I colored the <3 in with a red Spica glitter pen for a bit of color.

Non-Christmas

Now that the Holidays are almost here...

I am happy to post my first non-Christmas card in a long time!
I love pink & brown together so I used them with the Cuttlebug "Leafy Branch" folder.

This butterfly punch is new too, I love the detail in it.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Crunch time...

Its getting close to crunch time if you are still thinking of making your own Christmas cards this year. Here are a couple super easy ones that wouldn't take very much time to put together.

I used the new Cuttlebug winter borders set and applied some Stickles to make it look a little snowy.

On this one I embossed the snowflake with the Ice Crystals folder and added a red rhinestone gem to the center.

Dont forget about envelopes! I have packs of 100 for $9.99.

"Mark your Calendars" Class

In this class we will be making a 12 month desktop calendar! This calendar is approx. 8x11 and fits perfectly on a counter top or desk.
This class would be perfect for making a gift for the "hard to buy for" family member or friend. You can fill it with pictures or let them put in their own. After the year is over, you can remove the scrapbook pages from the calendar and place them in a 6x6 album!

This calendar is made by Karen Foster and comes as a kit with paper and stickers for the dates and holidays. I have designed the pages and added lots of embellishments to spruce it up a bit.
My calendar starts in January, but if you needed it for a gift later in the year it can start on any month and continue through the year.
We will be using lots of punches, brads, and ribbon. We will also be using the Cuttlebug and also Nestabilities. If you havent had a chance to cut & emboss with the Spellbinders Nestabilities, now is your chane to learn how to use them.

Class Dates:

Wednesday, Dec. 9th @ 6 pm. (FULL)

Thursday, Dec. 10th @ 6 pm (FULL)

Sunday, Dec. 13th @ 1 pm. (FULL)

Wednesday, Dec. 16th @ 6 pm (FULL)

Thursday, Dec. 17th @ 6 pm.

Saturday, Dec. 19th @ 11 am. (FULL)
