New dies & stamps!

New items are always arriving! This tree stamp is a new release and I thought it would go together with the Flower Soft perfectly. The great thing about this stamp is that you can change it for any season just by changing the Flower Soft colors.

The one I used was called Sweet Pea, but any of the other colors would look great too. Just add a tiny bit of the Flower Soft glue to the leaves and sprinkle it like you would with glitter or flock.

This card was made using one of my new favorite MFT (My Favorite Things) dies. Its the "banner day" die-namics and cuts 2 sizes of banners and a little topper piece too.

I kept the same color theme going on all three of these cards. On this one I used the butterfly die (The same one we are using in the current class) but this time I layered the 3 sizes of butterflies. I think it adds a lot more dimension this way, I added a sparkly gem for a little bling.

The 3rd card in this set uses the kite die and the clouds die. These 2 dies work perfectly together! All of the MFT dies work in your Cuttlebug just like the Nestabilities, you just need to use your C plate instead of the B plate. The word stamps are also from a MFT set, I really like the handwritten style of this stamp set.

New stamp samples

A lot of new stamps have been coming in from Hero Arts, My Favorite Things, and Penny Black.

On the typewriter card I cut a slit with my craft knife to insert the piece of paper. Its all on one stamp but I cut the paper separate and rolled it a bit to look dimensional.

There is a Cuttlebug set of 4 called "Simply Charmed" that has a shamrock embossing folder, had to use it with this adorable MFT stamp set.

This one is very similar but uses some shamrock paper in the background instead. This set is cute for St. Patrick's Day but also for friend cards too.
The Copic marker colors I used were:
G28
YG63
E02
E00
E33 (top card)
E37 (bottom card)

New Hero Arts

A bunch of stamps have arrived from the Hero Arts new catalog! I tried to order in some unique stamp styles that I havent carried before.
I have a weird "thing" for lamp stamps (...bicycles too) so I ordered in a few wood sets of the Decorative Lamps. I stamped the shade seperately, cut it out, and pop dotted it so it looked more dimensional.

Super Simple Valentines

I used some of the brand new Sizzix embossing folders (...that can also be used in Cuttlebugs and all other machines too) and some mini Cuttlebug folders to make some super simple Valentines.

I added some black pearls, double dot ribbon, and the real estate punch to embellish this one.

Some of my favorite Doodlebug paper and the circle scallop Nestabilities.

This one used the Hearts & Scrolls punch and the heart die we used in the last class.

Little Loveosaurus

I was working at the shop today (Christmas Eve) for a few hours, and boy was I glad I was here! The mailman dropped off a package with a bunch of new MFT stamps. This "Little Loveosaurus" set is one of my new favorites!
The designer paper is from the new October Afternoon "Campfire" collection. I stamped the little boy on the polka dot paper for a masking technique. Added a few buttons and brads to embellish it up a bit too.

I always like to stamp on the inside and add a little bit of paper from the front of the card to coordinate.
*The bathtub girl and the Christmas tree girl are also back in stock if you missed out on them from the Copic class*

Copic Class Samples

We had 3 awesome classes today with Tammy Hershberger teaching her Copic marker techniques. These are the cards we made if you didnt see them posted on FaceBook.

This frog stamp is always so popular! I have some wood mounted ones and clear sets left over
if anyone is looking for some cute frog stamps.

This one was a tag card that you could attach to a Bath & Body product, very cute idea for gift giving.
Thanks again to Tammy for driving up from 2 1/2 hours away to teach us some new skills!

Snow kisses

This cute little stamp is from Penny Black called "Snow Kisses". The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug sowflake folder. I found a duo-corner punch that can do the tag corner or ticket corner punching, the one above is a ticket corner.

I used some white flocking to make her jacket and hat fuzzy around the edges, I like to add a little texture to my cards whan I can!

Christmas Card Samples

If you missed out on this years Christmas card making class, here are a few of the samples that weren't posted to the blog yet.

These little snowmen come in packs of 6 for making multiples of the same card.

We used the "core" paper on the trees so they could be sanded for a snowy effect.

The Cuttlebug and SRM clear stickers always make cards soooo easy!

This one used lavender and olive for non-traditional Christmas colors.

The navy and brown winter trees were very popular. This stamp could be used for other occasions besides Christmas.
