"Mark your Calendars" Class

In this class we will be making a 12 month desktop calendar! This calendar is approx. 8x11 and fits perfectly on a counter top or desk.
This class would be perfect for making a gift for the "hard to buy for" family member or friend. You can fill it with pictures or let them put in their own. After the year is over, you can remove the scrapbook pages from the calendar and place them in a 6x6 album!

This calendar is made by Karen Foster and comes as a kit with paper and stickers for the dates and holidays. I have designed the pages and added lots of embellishments to spruce it up a bit.
My calendar starts in January, but if you needed it for a gift later in the year it can start on any month and continue through the year.
We will be using lots of punches, brads, and ribbon. We will also be using the Cuttlebug and also Nestabilities. If you havent had a chance to cut & emboss with the Spellbinders Nestabilities, now is your chane to learn how to use them.

Class Dates:

Wednesday, Dec. 9th @ 6 pm. (FULL)

Thursday, Dec. 10th @ 6 pm

Sunday, Dec. 13th @ 1 pm. (FULL)

Wednesday, Dec. 16th @ 6 pm (2 SPOTS LEFT)

Thursday, Dec. 17th @ 6 pm.

Please bring adhesive to the class.

House Mouse is here!

House Mouse stamps are starting to arrive!

Winter Trees

This was an easy card to make using one of the new Cuttlebug folders out this Christmas. The background is "Winter Trees" and I punched out the Santa from an older set of 4 called "Christmas". I put a little bit of red glitter on his nose to make him look a little more jolly!

New Flower Soft

Simple Snowflake

This was a very easy card I made with the "Ice Crystal" Cuttlebug die. My card is 3x6 in size but it would work for other sizes too. I added a little bling by putting a light blue gem in the center.

Cuttlebug ornaments

I was excited to try out the new punches I got in for the pine needles border. I thought it would go great with the hanging ornaments from the Cuttlebug folder. I only have a couple packs of the Cuttlebug set of 6 left in stock if anyone was still looking for them.

In case you missed it...

Here are a few of the cards from last weekend's Christmas card class.

This was a Sizzix set of folders that went perfectly with the inside verse reading "May the spirit of Christmas fill your heart with love and joy." Its hard to see but I put stickles on the heart buttons on his belly.
This card uses a Stampendous clear set, its hard to tell in the photo but the trees have glitter on them. The outside reads "May your Holiday season" and the inside says "... be bright and sparkly."
This card uses a Fern punch that I thought looked just like mistletoe too. I put some self adhesive red pearls for berries.

Christmas Whites

This was Winter House from last years Cuttlebug release. It looks so pretty when you put Stickles on the rooftops. This was a discontinued folder, I only have a few left in stock.

On this card I used the For You ornament die (Cuttlebug) and Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) for the name plate.

This Holly folder was another dicontinued Cuttlebug from last year. I am impatiently waiting for the new Christmas Cuttlebug folders to get here!!

Halloween test tubes

My 2 oldest children dont go Trick or Treating anymore, so I thought I would still give them some candy. I found these candy filled test tube/beakers at Walmart and jazzed them up a bit with some cute tags.
Like my last Halloween post, I used the 2" JustRite stamp for the wording. The spider is from a Cuttlebug die.

I wanted to make the spider look hairy-scary so I used black glitter to make him look sparkly!

Christmas Birds

I wanted to make a card that wasn't my usual style and I thought these Spellbinders "Nested Birds" would be great for that. I had a hard time getting a good photo where you could see the detail in the embossing. The background is Cuttlebugs "Leafy Branch" and the bird was embossed with "Devine Swirl". I used some gold cardstock, gold brads, and gold ribbon for an accent. The tag at the bottom rolled to give a little dimension.

Thanksgiving Leaves

There isn't much out there in the scrapbooking world for Thanksgiving, but fallish leaves are always a good choice. I used the Cuttlebug maple leaf to cut & emboss. Then tied some hemp string around them.

Tyler's Treats!

Tyler and I had a few people we wanted to make treat bags for this Halloween. I love the "Boo to You" Cuttlebug folder because its so easy just to punch out the circles.

The 2" JustRite stamper worked perfectly for the outer saying. This set has different saying starters so I just had to personalize it with Ty's name. We stamped & filled some cello bags with candy and tied them shut with matching ribbon. Too cute!!

Thanksgiving place cards

I finally finished up the place cards I was working on for my aunt. She always has the nicest table setting at Thanksgiving so I wanted to make her some pretty place cards. I needed to make about 17, now I just need to put the names in and they will be complete. I was going to use rub-ons but I think I will just print them out on the computer and punch them out... much easier! The stamp set I used was Autumn Foliage by Inkadinkado.

Spellbinders Poinsettias

I love these new Nested Poinsettias from Spellbinders. I think they make the prettiest Christmas flowers.
Its hard to tell, but the middle flower layer is popped up along with the Merry Christmas tag. The background has embossed poinsettias, contact me if you are looking for this folder.
For an added accent I put 3 red dew drops in the center.

New goodies...

New Sizzix embossing folders are starting to come in, the one above is for Halloween. (Sizzix folders fit in the Cuttlebug machine just like Cuttlebug folders do.)

Some of the new Spellbinders Nestabilities for Christmas. There are some very pretty snowflakes and poinsettia templates.

New Christmas papers from Making Memories, My Minds Eye, Fancy Pants, and more are arriving too.

Owls, birds, and woodland creatures seem to be the popular theme right now.
