Graduation made easy!

Its that time of year when graduation parties are popping up!

I made this one for my cousin who is graduating from Mercyhurst College for nursing.
I embossed the star frame folder on Core paper so I could sand it and make the stars stand out better.
The grad cap is a Doodlebug embellishment that is for card making... so easy.

The school papers I carry in the store make it so easy to make a unique card.
The numbers were cut from the MFT set below.  Its great for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc.   It has the number dies with the coordinating stamps.  I also have just the number dies with out the stamps too.

Guys & Birds card class

In this class we will be making 5 all occasion cards with envelopes.
It just so happened that they have a "Guys & Birds" theme.

The card above is called a "waterfall" card, its interactive and moves when you pull the flap with the ribbon.  This is a very cool technique if you like cards with a little something extra!

We will be making a card that would be perfect for Father's Day because it has a spot on the front for a gift card.
This card could work for a man's birthday too.

There will be some brand new dies used in this class.  I love the tree die below, perfect for any occasion.

Supplies needed:
adhesive runner, pop dots, quickie glue pen, scor-tape.
(Just as an FYI... I do sell these items at the shop.  No need to go to AC Moore before class.)

Sweet Summer 12x12

The new Doodlebug lines are so adorable that I was dying to make some new pages with it.

This is using the new Fruit Stand line.  I connected the title "sweet summer" above with green/white twine, and pop dotted some of the fruit.

Heroes

When I saw this stamp I just had to have it, I have a brother and a Brother-in-law in the Army.

Im a little late getting this card in the mail since my brother's birthday is this weekend, but its the thought that counts sometimes!

My brother-in-law is recovering from a severe head injury so I wanted to send him a Get Well greeting.
"Guy" cards can be tough sometimes... its hard not to jazz them up too much with flowers and gems!
I punched the top of this one with a star border punch.  I did add 2 sparkly red gems, but that goes with the red, white, and blue theme.

April Card Class (2013)

In this workshop we will be stamping 5 all occasion cards with envelopes.
There are a lot of new dies and embossing folders coming out so this was my chance to use them.
The card above uses the Bumble Bee Borders embossing folder.

Its hard to tell in the photo but the Mason jar and firefly are cut out with a metal die.
This stamp set has a set of matching dies to coordinate.
There are also glittery wings on the fireflys.

This Flying By set is also another one with stamps and dies to match for the paper airplanes.

Valentine Bear

Valentines Day is quickly approaching, but there is still time to pick up some cute stamps and dies to make cards.

I used the Heart Doily die for the background, great die... doesnt need to be just for Valentines either.
The heart is filled with the most beautiful glitter.  Stickles now makes dry glitter too.  Its hard to see in my photo, but its the reddest red ever!
The bear is colored in with Copic E31 and E33.

Bundle of Joy

I love to make baby cards, I just dont need them very often at this point in my life.
My daughter is going to a baby shower for her best friend who is having a baby boy, so I was happy to make a card for her.

I used the MFT onesie die and the MFT sentiment strip dies for the front.  Couldn't resist using the doodlebug monkey paper and stickers since she knows the baby is a boy!

New Scrapbook Pages

I rarely get the time to scrapbook unless I am at the crops, but I really needed to update some of the pages I had hanging on the walls around here.

I love this BoBunny line for little boys, super cute colors!

I've been trying to better organize my scrapbooks at home, so I wanted to take home some of the pages on the store's walls that had the kids pictures in them.

I re-scrapped this baby page because the other one had some baby pics of Tyler that I wanted to put in his book.

Cant get enough of Doodlebug paper... so sweet!

...and 1 more

I changed up the colors 1 more time to alter my Christmas cards from the original version.

This one was done with cranberrys and browns with a bit of glitter.

Not just for Christmas...

We used a stamp in the recent Christmas card classes that everyone really loved.
Here is the card we made in the jade & lill pond greens...

The card above has glitter on the trees (hard to see in the photo) to look like fallen snow.

The best thing about this stamp is that it doesnt need to be used just for Christmas.
I changed up the colors to navy & baby blue to make a birthday card...

This time I left off the glitter in case the persons birthday wasn't in the winter.

Batter Up!

My favorite little guy is having his 2nd birthday.  The party was baseball themed, so I made him a special card for his big day.

I love My Favorite Things dies so I used:

By The Letters alphabet dies
By The Numbers dies
and Traditional Tag Stax (tag dies that layer each other).

New Christmas dies from My Favorite Things!

My Favorite Things has come out with some great stamps and dies this month... love them all!

I grabbed a few images from the MFT blog because the girls over there do fabulous work and I havent had a chance to even open mine yet!

I've been waiting for a nice wreath die for a long time, this one is perfect if you layer two to give it some dimension.

Here is the poinsettia up close.

This card shows the gift card pocket maker (love!)  and the stamp set that coordinates.

Anyone who has a problem with bows should check out the Dainty Bow dies, makes it look like you really ties the paper bows!
