Halloween 6x6 Class

In this class we will be making an 18 page Halloween themed scrapbook album. The album is 6x6 in size and loaded with Halloween cuteness!

The kits are pre-cut and all ready to assemble during class.

There are lots of embellishments to accent the book.

New Sizzix embossing folders are starting to come in, the one above is for Halloween. (Sizzix folders fit in the Cuttlebug machine just like Cuttlebug folders do.)

New Christmas papers from Making Memories, My Minds Eye, Fancy Pants, and more are arriving too.

October Crop

If you missed out on the September crop you will want to sign up for the October one soon!
Here are the details in case you have not been to a Monkey Business crop yet...

Date: Saturday, October 10th from 10 am. until 8 pm.
Where: Hoss's Steakhouse (right next door to the shop)
Cost: $30
This includes your lunch buffet, choice of chicken or sirloin tips dinner with buffet, and drinks all day!

There will be door prizes, a Chinese auction, and lots of pre-cut kits to purchase.

Simple Wedding

Any time you need a quick card Cuttlebug cards are perfect! This folder is actually from Sizzix, but they make them so they are interchangeable between most die-cut machines.
I added the black pearls and satin ribbon for some dimension.

Halloween Kitty

I think the "pinking circle" Nestabilities look perfect with Halloween cards!

Its hard to see in the picture but I added a little brown glitter to Fluffles' broomstick.

School Days Lunch Tin class

Ever wonder what to do with all the wallet photos from the packages of school pictures? This class is a great way to use them up and have memories of your child's school years.

The lunch tin is 5.5 x 4 inches in size, just a bit smaller than the size I normally sell at the store. Inside fits a mini chipboard book we will decorate for grades K-12. This is a great way to catch up on old photos or get ahead for a child who hasn't started school yet. There is a little space that you can jot down notes or special dates on each page.

There will be a little stamping, mod-podging, and embellishment adding.

Fall "Thanks"

By no means am I ready for summer to be over, I was just thinking ahead on this one!
I knew I had some Thank You cards that needed to go out. So since I know I wont get them into the mail until September, I thought I would make them "fallish".


To change things up a bit I changed the leaf brad. I cut & embossed the scallop and inner circles with my Nestabilities.

These new leaf brads are perfect for upcoming Fall cards and scrapbook pages!

Using scraps!

I love paper packs, especially the 6x6 pads of paper... they are perfect for cards. Sometimes though, there are pieces you dont care for or just have extra scraps of.
I used a small butterfly punch to cut out a butterfly from each design from the paper pad.


I used the Basic Grey "Eva" pad, I liked the purples, pinks, and greens together. I also used a tiny word set to stamp in one of the butterflies.

I folded his wings up a bit to make him stand out from the rest.

Card Class

I feel like I haven't done a card class in a long time, in this workshop I used a little bit of everything...

A little bit of the Cuttlebug, a little bit of the Nestabilities, a little stamping (clear & wood mounted), and a little technique you may or may not know.

The pictures I have are really gloomy... its been almost non-stop raining in Erie, PA!

In this class we will be making 5 different cards with envelopes, all using some of the products I mentioned above.
The card below is called a "Spinner" card because it actually moves (or spins) back and forth. Its a very cool technique to learn if you have never made one before.

I absolutely love this "Mr. Campy" paper from Cosmo Cricket, hopefully soon I will be making some scrapbook pages with it too.
Tonight we will be leaving to go camping for my family reunion. Woo hoo! Leanne will be working at the shop on Friday & Saturday so I can take a break.

Garage sale success!

I just wanted to send out a "Thank You" to everyone who participated and shopped at the 2nd annual scrapbooking garage sale. We had a great turn out and beautiful weather... 74 degrees! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!!

ZOO chipboard album class

In this class we will be making a 12 page (6 pages front and back) Zoo album. The book is a Bo Bunny chipboard album and is loaded with embellishments.

I love these albums because they have very detailed and cascading pages.

There is a ton of embellishments used in this album.... ribbon, flowers, buttons, hemp twine, and more. We will be using the new tiny attacher stapler from Tim Holtz, a wonderful tool! Here are a few up close photos.

Supplies you will need to bring are: adhesive, glue stick, and glue dots (smaller is better).

New Stamps...

New stamps have been coming in from Rubber Soul and Inkadinkado. Below is a card that I made from the "Lemonade Stand" and "When life gives you lemons" stamps from Rubber Soul.

Now the inside saying was printed on my computer. The way things have been going lately, I could really use a pitcher of margaritas!

Changito graduates

My friend Kelsey just graduated from Villa Maria and is on her way to Los Angeles, CA for fashion school! I tried to use Villa's school colors for her graduation card.

I used my JustRite stamps for the 2009 on top of the books and Cuttlebug "Congrats" for the background.
