Wildflowers

I really love any stamps from Whippersnapper, this one is especially one of my favorites. I like stamps that can be used for almost any occasion.
The background is a Cuttlebug folder and I used some of the clear Glossy Glaze to make the jar look like it had real water in it.
Here is a better view of what the Glossy Glaze looks like... sorta.
I added a few Dew Drops to the side for an accent too.
This inside verse is also another Whippersnapper favorite.
You could even add a little Flower Soft to this stamp too if you wanted a realistic look.

The rest of the cards...

Yahoo! My computer is back after being repaired, it was really hard to navigate the internet from my phone all this time.
Here are the rest of the photos for the card class this month.
The card above we are doing some masking on her dress to match the background paper.
The red and blue stickles add just a touch of shimmer for this card.

This wedding card uses a punch that has all the flowers and leaves for this card, along with some Cuttlebug folders for the background.

I love this quirky card... The inside reads "life is too short to match socks!"

Non-traditional graduation

This little sporty girl stamp set from My Favorite Things is so cute but if you need a graduation card she can work great for that too.

I carry most of the local high school and college papers so all you have to do is add in your school's colors!

Besides the sayings, the stamp set comes with a volleyball, basketball, and a soccer ball.

Pinwheels & Rosette Flowers

Super cute stamps have come in from The Cats Pajamas, also some really great cutting dies too.
These stamps are perfect for spring!
The bunny was colored with Copics E31 and E33, two browns that blend nicely together.

This is a more up close picture of what the pinwheels die looks like. It also has a smaller pinwheel and 4 center shapes on it too. This pinwheel is a great example of one of the joys of double sided paper!

This one uses another one of my favorite stamp sets and the Rosette Flower die. The flower die also has a smaller sized flower, a center, and a banner... So easy to use. If you check out the previous post on my blog you can see the video of how to use both of these great dies.

To add a little bling on this card I used pink gems. I also used micro beads and glossy glaze on the cake to make the frosting stand out, its just hard to see it on the photo.

I colored the bunny on this one with Copics T3 & T0 (T zero).

I have been really trying to make the insides of my cards just as pretty as the outside. I even added some gems to the inside too.

...After the Class

We had 3 great Copic marker classes this past Sunday with Tammy Hershberger. I was still very inspired so I worked on a few more cards using the same sets.
The card above used the Somethings Fishy set from MFT stamps.
I found a pretty My Minds Eye paper that had the blues, grey, and mustard colors I needed.
Copics:
(for the girl)
BG75
BG72
Y26
E57
E33
E00
C1
(for the fish)
YG97
YG95
YG93
YG91

Other supplies used were silver brads and Large Labels Nestabilities.

I just love this bear from The Cats Pajamas, she's really cute but turned out a little dark in the photo.
Copics used:
(bear) (apron & cup)
E29 YR09
E27 YR07
E23 BG13
E21 BG11

The cup has some of the paper glaze on it to look steamy, but you cant tell from the photo. I also used the Tonic Duo-Corner punch above and the Lacey Circles Nestabilities below.

New dies & stamps!

New items are always arriving! This tree stamp is a new release and I thought it would go together with the Flower Soft perfectly. The great thing about this stamp is that you can change it for any season just by changing the Flower Soft colors.

The one I used was called Sweet Pea, but any of the other colors would look great too. Just add a tiny bit of the Flower Soft glue to the leaves and sprinkle it like you would with glitter or flock.

This card was made using one of my new favorite MFT (My Favorite Things) dies. Its the "banner day" die-namics and cuts 2 sizes of banners and a little topper piece too.

I kept the same color theme going on all three of these cards. On this one I used the butterfly die (The same one we are using in the current class) but this time I layered the 3 sizes of butterflies. I think it adds a lot more dimension this way, I added a sparkly gem for a little bling.

The 3rd card in this set uses the kite die and the clouds die. These 2 dies work perfectly together! All of the MFT dies work in your Cuttlebug just like the Nestabilities, you just need to use your C plate instead of the B plate. The word stamps are also from a MFT set, I really like the handwritten style of this stamp set.

And the winner is...

I used Random.org to pick a random number for me.

100,000 hits!

Since my blog reached 100,000 hits this week I am going to have a give-a-way for one lucky blog reader!
Just leave a comment (here on the blog) about your very favorite Cuttlebug folder or Cricut cartridge of all time. One winner will be drawn using Random.org and will win either of the two shown above. Be sure to leave your name in your post so I know who you are.

Winner will be announced on Thursday evening of March 10th. Stop back to read what others have posted... I'm curious to see what the most popular folders and cartridges end up to be!

On Sunday, March 13th Tammy will be back again to teach a Cricut 102 class. This class is to extend what you know about your Cricut and learn more difficut techniques. If you are pretty good at working your Cricut, or if you took the Cricut 101 last week this class is perfect for you.

You will be making projects to take home, such as the giftcard holders above, and get written instructions on what was taught in class.

Class Date is Sunday, March 13th at 1:00 pm.
(If the 1 pm fills we will have a 4:00 pm class also.)
Cost is $25 (cash or check only) and is pre-paid to hold your spot.

Intermediate level card class

In this class we will be making 5 cards with envelopes. These cards are a step up in intricacy by using quite a few new MFT dies and stamp sets.

We will also be using new embellishments to add dimension, such as paper glaze and micro beads.

I would suggest this class to anyone who is familiar with stamping, copic markers, and using the Spellbinders dies. If you are brand new to stamping this might not be the best class for you to try.

Supplies you will need:
adhesive, pop dots, and small paper snip scissors.
Class fee:
The class is $15 and needs to be pre-paid to hold your spot.
Class size will be kept small so dont wait to sign up!

New stamp samples

A lot of new stamps have been coming in from Hero Arts, My Favorite Things, and Penny Black.

On the typewriter card I cut a slit with my craft knife to insert the piece of paper. Its all on one stamp but I cut the paper separate and rolled it a bit to look dimensional.

There is a Cuttlebug set of 4 called "Simply Charmed" that has a shamrock embossing folder, had to use it with this adorable MFT stamp set.

This one is very similar but uses some shamrock paper in the background instead. This set is cute for St. Patrick's Day but also for friend cards too.
The Copic marker colors I used were:
G28
YG63
E02
E00
E33 (top card)
E37 (bottom card)
